Lisa Hanawalt is an artist and illustrator from Palo Alto, CA. She graduated from UCLA and has worked for clients such as The NY Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, Saveur, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Vice Magazine, and McSweeney's. Hanawalt also received an Ignatz Awards for Outstanding Mini-Comic and the 2011 Stumptown Award for Best Small Press. Hanawalt co-hosts a weekly podcast and lives and works in Brooklyn today. Her brightly-hued watercolor illustrations of parrots, cats, lizards and everyday memorabilia are their own brand of kitsch.
