Misaki Kawai, August 2012Published August, 2012 Vault // Thursday, 02 Jan 2014
Misaki Kawai has always been a favorite on the Juxtapoz staff because her work can transform spaces from a white walled gallery into a wild world of playful imagination. Her works at first appear kid friendly, bright and colorful and inviting. Her installations are larger than life cartoons come to life, a sketchbook of ideas that transform into a special universe you can live in. This is our interview with the artist from August 2012's print edition, by our contributing editor, Kristin Farr.
