Timothy Hoyer is a self-taught tattooer and painter. Coming from an artistic family, he was exposed to oil painting at a very early age and always dreamed of a career in art. He began tattooing in New York City in 1989, followed by a stint at Primal Urge in San Francisco before settling in Richmond, VA for several years, during which time he traveled the world and owned 3 different tattoo shops. Most recently, he has made the move back to New York where he continues to work on select clients in a private studio environment as well as on the road, and pursue painting with a newfound motivation in the exploding Brooklyn art scene.
