In part of an ongoing video series, Italian painter, Zed1, has released his newest segment entitled “Born Slaves.” The artist created an interesting time lapse of an egg deteriorating away to reveal one of his signature characters chained up.
Italian muralist, Mark Burresi aka Zed1, painted these strange creatures with the words “Nothing is Free” on a freeway pillar in Certaldo, Italy. The semi-clothed, monkey resembling characters are seen perched on a branch eating bananas.

For the past month, Italian muralist, ZED1, has painted several energetic large murals around the streets of Oslo, Norway. This newest piece entitled “Norway vs. Thor” has great movement, showing the artist’s contorted characters and two goats. This is our favorite from Norway yet.
Italian muralist, Mark Burresi better known as ZED1, just finished painting this new mural for the Urban Samtidskunst event in Oslo, Norway. The mural shows a humorous image of a horse with a strap on his head holding a paintbrush to his face in attempt to imitate a glamorous photo of a unicorn. The quote “Everybody Wants To Be Special” accompanies the piece and the message is rather obvious.
Zed1 recently completed this impressive wall in Baronissi, Italy consisting of two abnormally shaped characters. The artist titled the mural “2012 End of the World” setting an ill-fated mood for the piece.
Italian artist, Mark Burresi, aka ZED1, was invited by Urban Painting to paint the side of a building that also had been decorated by the work of artist, M-City. Over the course of two days, Zed1 painted a large horse figure being carried and held by the artist’s signature characters. The mural is located outside of Milan in the city of Carugate.
