Born in 1977 in Seoul, Korea, Young received his BFA from the Art Center College of Design in 2000. After several years of painting without a clear direction, he began working as a respiratory therapist in LA hospitals. Faced daily with life and death situations, this experience expanded his outlook on life, adding to his artistic vision. In February of 2011, Young resumed his art career full-time and is currently based in Orange County, CA.
