We are enjoying the fun, imaginative wheatpastes of French artist Lavalet. Lavalet began making the site-specific pieces around France last year, coming up with creative and entertaining ways for his characters to interact with their surroundings. He also just opened an exhibition at NUNC ! Grenoble if you are in France.

Together with D-Structure, Wheatpaste Art Collective will present a collection of stickable posters and canvas wall art during the next San Francisco First Friday opening at 8 pm on Friday, July 6th, 2012. The show will run through Monday, August 6th, 2012. D-Structure is located at 520 Haight Street in San Francisco.

Jesse Hazelip, whose wheatpastes can be seen all around San Francisco, has a solo show in the mega-space that is 941 Geary in the city's Tenderloin opening January 15, 2011. The show's title, The Belle of the Brawl, also happens to be the title of the video preview for the exhibition that you can see here. Watch after the jump . . .
