Aleksandra Waliszewska is a Warsaw-based graphic artist who is highly nterested in depicting states of emotion in her art, allowing the narratives to evolve by themselves. Though her work can be often dark at times, there is still a hint of playfulness in her gory renderings....

Depicted in his own “Ignorant Style,” Parisian graffiti writer and tattoo artist, Fuzi just completed painting a large monochrome image of a Mermaid on the side of a four-story apartment building in Warsaw. The Warsaw Mermaid (There were actually two) is a local legend in this region and is memorialized as a statue in the Old Town Square, however Fuzi’s version appears distinctly different (Locs and eyeballs on the breasts).

We are enjoying the paintings of Warsaw-based graphic artist Aleksandra Waliszewska. Aleksandra is interested in depicting states of emotion in her art and feels that the narratives evolve by themselves. She sites pre-modern art as a big influence and Hans Memling, Enguerrand Quarton and Nicolas Poussi in particular.

Not only is the narrowest house in the world a thought worth exploring, it is being constructed now in Warsaw, Poland, in between the passageway of two buildings. Narrow doesn't even cut it. The space is 47 inches wide. Break that down, readers, and that is a major 3 feet, 11 inches of space you have to work with. Does Ikea make things for you?
