Perhaps the only time we can stand for 3-D styled pieces is when Wais paints them. Unless they are from the ‘90s, but you know it’s just not that tight, right?

Hailing from Moscow, Wais paints graffiti with heavy design patterns and blending. For this wall the artist painted the word “Alazizi” with some ferns camouflaging through the letters. Great piece.

Organized by the Detroit-based gallery, Library Street Collective, “The Garage Project” has brought 23 artists from around the globe to paint a new parking garage development in the heart of downtown Detroit. One of the most recent additions was the work of Wais who came from Russia and got a choice spot on the top level of the structure.

Russian graffiti artist, Wais, has been branching out from traditional letter piecing, exploring his capabilities in painting large-scale buildings. Using a vibrant color palette with abstract shapes and formations, this newer body of work appears to be executed very well.
