Stop Motion: Rot by Erica Luke

Juxtapoz // Saturday, November 03, 2012
We may have missed posting this on Halloween, but here on Juxtapoz.com, if you can create something that can sort of scare us, intrigue us, and make us watch 3 times in a row like Erica Luke just did, then we are going to post it 12 months out of the year. Watch this great stop-motion after the jump . . .

Nuart 2012: SABER Interview and Performance Video

Graffiti // Tuesday, October 30, 2012
Juxtapoz had the honor of flying halfway across the world with SABER this past month for Nuart in Stavanger, Norway, and we weren't sure what sort of installation piece he was gonig to create. Fresh off of SABER's skywriting project over Manhattan days earlier, the LA-based graffiti artist and activist remained in a political mood, and decided to not only create a classic SABER piece, but buff it at the opening in front of hundreds of people.

Conor Harrington "A Whole lot of Trouble for a Little bit of Win" Video

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, October 17, 2012
We just got back from London where we had a little discussion with Conor Harrington of which you can see in the December 2012 issue of the magazine. While there, we saw Harrington's two new pieces, now on display at Lazarides' Bedlam show. Just as he prepared his Dead Meat work, there was a photoshoot with models for the new pieces, and Harrington just released a new video of the behind-the-scenes footage of the shoot. Go watch...

One of the better festivals/programs that brings artists together, POW WOW Hawai'i is gearing up already for their 2013 edition. The team just released a series of videos by "Director Michael Inouye, highlighting February 2012's week-long art exhibit. With confessions from the creators and artists, we gain a clear understanding to POW WOW’s inspiring purpose as well as a look at the collection of amazing artwork that brighten the already well-lit city."

Felix Baumgartner's Jump in LEGOS

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, October 16, 2012
If you are a human, which we assume you are, then you have to be impressed and probably have watched the amazing, 24-mile skydive-human flying-jump by Felix Baumgartner this past weekend. Of course, these things can't be immortalized unless they are Lego-ized. Which has been done now at Vienna’s Model Maker Fair.

Rarely can we say that seeing a mural on video can be just as good as in person, but our Contributing Editor Joey Garfield has made sure that you get the full effect in this short video of Doze Green's exceptional mural in Chicago. Created for the Miles Of Murals program, this mural just keeps going, and going, and going...

Official Video: Grizzly Bear "Yet Again" by Emily Kai Bock

Music // Sunday, October 07, 2012
In our opinion, the new Grizzly Bear LP, Shields, is one of the best of 2012, and "Yet Again" one of the best tracks on said album. The track just got a wonderful video treatment from director Emily Kai Bock, following an ice skater's serene yet imperfect routine that descends into a bit of chaos and anger. Like the song. Well done.
