Her husband infamously claimed credit for her work, and Margaret is the subject of the new Tim Burton film "Big Eyes." We featured the artist, screenwriters and Tim Burton in our June and December 2014 issues.

Music Video: Viet Cong “Continental Shelf"

Music // Wednesday, November 26, 2014
One of our favorite bands of the moment is Viet Cong, a sort of follow-up band to the great and former Calgary-group Women. Viet Cong's EP, "Cassette," has been on our playlist all year, and now the band just released the single "Continental Shift" that will be on their upcoming self-titled LP due out on January 20th, 2015 on Jagjaguwar. This is the video for said track, directed by Yoonha Park, who notes, "I wanted the video to feel like a reel of film that was purchased accidentally at a garage sale or found buried under someone's front porch. It's meant to be an incomplete picture - like screen tests from a lost movie."

Almost There (Official Trailer)

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, November 11, 2014
Though it has been happening a bit more in the past few years, it’s not everyday that a prolific “outsider” artist is discovered or shall I say uncovered. By uncovered I almost mean literally because documentarians Aaron Wickenden and Dan Rybiky found this gentleman buried in his own squalor, happily and delusional-y painting away. Almost There digs deep and goes further than your average artist profile film. Check out the trailer below and start digging under rocks in your own town.

Living off the Wall "Dallas Clayton: Dream Big!"

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, November 11, 2014

Premiere - "Juxtapoz Presents: Gone Again"

Juxtapoz // Sunday, November 09, 2014
Juxtapoz Presents: Gone Again is a visual tour of the elaboratelydecorated surroundings of the legendary art and music collector Long Gone John. Filmed at his estate in the upper woods of Olympia, WA, this short film is a fantastical journey through the maze of John’s aesthetic mind and personal obsessions. John’s spare, singular narration gives voice to an interior monologue set against the backdrop of an optical nirvana. The Treasures of Long Gone John celebrates its 10 year anniversary.
