Control is lost and time becomes an abstraction when Mike Aho draws us into the short film The Lonely Life, which he wrote, directed and scored. He can be credited with almost every aspect of the film. (That, on top of being the new creative director at Volcom, and leading the band ((sounder)).) It stars musician and actor Will Oldham, whose character had been cryogenically frozen and is searching to understand his former life. Dazed in the intense haze of medication, lies and hallucinations, the film follows this search for truth amidst a cloak of certain evil.

We were gearing for a new Grimes LP, and she seems to have scrapped the album. But luckily for the Internet, and ways by which artists can release their albums and songs, Grimes went ahead and released the track "REALiTi" and the video she shot with her brother, Mac. She shot the video when on the Asia-leg of her tour, in Singapore, KL, Manila, Jakarta, HK, Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei, Seoul, Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo. And the song is good, too.

This is going to be a fun month here at Juxtapoz as we celebrate Björk and her retrospective at MoMA, but also her cover for the April 2015 issue of our print edition. We also get the chance to kick back and see some of the work our friends have done with Björk over the years; first up being our friends at Ghost Robot and the production they did on the amazing video for "Wanderlust" off of 2007's Volta LP. Directed by Encyclopedia Pictura, this is one of Björk's most masterful videos.
