We are going to take the advice of the filmmakers: "Turn up the volume, turn off the lights and make full screen. Allow a few minutes for film to load/buffer first before viewing so it won't play choppy. "Eager" is just a brilliant clay-mation and stop-motion creation from LA-based fine artist Allison Schulnik made in conjunction with a museum show at Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, CT as well as a solo show at ZieherSmith NYC in early 2014.

Soldier's Undeveloped World War II Film Discovered

The Rescued Film Project, an online archive gallery of images that processes undeveloped film from all eras, recently came across one of their biggest finds yet: 31 rolls of film shot by an unkonw WWII soldier. With the capability to process film that has been degraded by heat, moisture, and age, the project has the potential to bring back parts of history thought to be forgotten.

This is the Brook Linder-sci-fi weirdo adventure video for the track "Silhouettes" that should get you equally excited about the Viet Cong album.

Chicago-based painter Bruce Riley's creates amazing resin paintings by dripping and mixing layers of paint on a black canvas. This beautiful video documents his process, watching him drip, blow, brush, and smearing his paints while reflecting on his life, intent, mistakes, and improvisation.

Fibonacci Zoetrope Sculptures

These are 3-D printed sculptures designed to animate when spun under a strobe light. The placement of the appendages is determined by the same method nature uses in pinecones and sunflowers. The rotation speed is synchronized to the strobe so that one flash occurs every time the sculpture turns 137.5º—the golden angle. If you count the number of spirals on any of these sculptures you will find that they are always Fibonacci numbers.
