One of Cindy Sherman's earliest silent films on Super-8. Created in 1975, Doll Clothes takes the imagery of Marcel Duchamp's Nude Descending a Staircase as a starting point which encourages Sherman's humorous interest in gender and identity - a hallmark of her narrative practice which continues into the present.

We were recently reminded (thanks TWBE) of this fantastic 1973 animation Keiichi Tanaami did for John Lennon's Oh! Yoko! and felt obliged to brighten your morning with it! Tanaami has been on the site a few time as of late, he is one of the great Japanese pop and psychedelic artists of the postwar era!

Earlier this year we saw an unlikely but perfect match for an album cover: Tyler, the Creator teamed up with Mark Ryden. Directed by Wolf Haley, Tyler's latest video sees that album cover turned into a set in addition to several other highly entertaining scenes from the always imaginative and bizarre mind of the Odd Future frontman.

Copenhagen-based artist Carl Krull creates often large-scale works using repeated horizontal lines, curving and bending them at certain points to create a final, wavy and distorted image. 35-ft long and capable of shooting 6-ft long negatives and 24-ft high portraits, the world's largest film camera is a project led by photographer Dennis Manarchy. With the help of over 30 people, the construction of the incredible machine pays tribute to nearly 200 years of photography and is the beginning of a national artistic documentary project titled Butterflies & Buffalo: Tales of American Culture.
