POW! WOW! SCHOOL OF MUSIC

Partnering with Flexfit, the first year of POW! WOW! School of Music is a special program focused on music education for Hawaii’s youth. POW! WOW! School of Music provides unique learning opportunities for a select group of local musicians between the ages of 13-18. These young musicians participate in classes on composition, vocals, percussion, guitar, ukulele, keyboard, bass, recording, performance and the music business with local and national musicians, teachers and music industry professionals. The students collaborate with each other and create original music that was performed at POW! WOW! Hawaii’s closing night festivities.

Music Video: Nabil Directs Just Blaze & Baauer's "Higher"

The new video for Just Blaze & Baauer's latest track "Higher" is one of the most beautifully shot we have seen in a while. However, this is not surprising considering renowned director Nabil is the man behind it. The video tells the the epic story of a group of Kalaripayattu warriors (martial artists) and a spirited young kid in Kerala, India, who leads his fellow child vigilantes to fight a drunk bully.

Apparently, the phenomenon exists all over the world and everyone has his or her own theory. The documentary 'The Mystery of Flying Kicks', directed by Matthew Bate, explores the urban myths and personal stories behind the hanging sneakers.

In conjunction with his exhibition at the MOCA Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles, Chris Johanson just released a film through MOCA.tv, "Within the River of Time Is My Mind,"  featuring Johanson's new paintings, sculpture, and found wood site-specific installation, is on view at MOCA Pacific Design Center and has been extended through October 13, 2013.
