Sony was once again the most hospitable host when it came to this years conferences. With a cocktail reception both before and after the press conference, they treated us well. This however did not make up for the fact that the showed the most limited amount of games of any event so far.

With the Wii approaching the 6 year mark, Nintendo has outpaced their console competitors with console releases. Previewed last year, the WiiU is on full display this year. Streaming media options were mentioned involving Hulu plus, Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon video. The announcement of the ability to use two controllers simultaneously is a shock, and should bring exciting new options to the system. But this event was all about the games.

Microsoft once again took pole position at this years E3, showcasing in-depth portions of some key announcements that were previewed at last year's event. The Kinect was once again the highlighted piece of hardware, with voice integration from titles like, Madden 13, Fifa 13, Splinter Cell: Black List, as well as Bing Voice activated search for entertainment.

Ubisoft is my current frontrunner for presentation of year at E3. They came out strong with their main titles, Assassins Creed 3, Far Cry 3, and Splinter Cell, and still managed to shock us with some titles we have never heard of. They also had some of the best MC's hosting their event as well.

Around this time of year an odd thing happens, my inbox starts swelling up with requests for meetings, my thumbs begin going into cross training mode, and my eyes become acutely tuned towards women in scantly clad outfits. These may seem like unrelated personal issues to some, but to me they are a sign from the universe that the world's largest video game conference is approaching. The annual Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 as it has been lovingly deemed, is slowly becoming a annual tradition here at Juxtapoz . . .
