This summer, the V&A will be staging a multi-dimensional exhibition experience, Sky Arts Ignition: Memory Palace, presenting an original work of fiction by author Hari Kunzru, transformed into a walk-in story by leading graphic designers, typographers and illustrators. Juxtapoz featured artist, Mario Wagner, is one of the artists involved, and let us into the process of making his piece for the Memory Palace show. 

With his new upcoming album release The Next Day on the way, we have David Bowie on the brain, and we can't help but reminisce about everything from The Labyrinth to Space Oddity. Coincidentally, accompanying this fondness for Bowie is an exhibition presenting a whole array of the musician and cultural icon's career.

Charming Baker, the UK artist that was featured in our January 2012 issue, collaborated with famed British fashion designer (he makes a fantastic sunglass, FYI) Paul Smith on Triumph in the Face of Absurdity, a polished cast aluminium bicycle now on display at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. The work was part of Britain Creates 2012: Fashion + Art Collusion, where leading British fashion designers and visual artists collaborate in a ground-breaking series of works commissioned as part of the London 2012 Festival.

When we published our Contemporary African Art Issue in November of 2008, we featured a few prominent contemporary South African photographers, including Pieter Hugo and Mikhael Subotzky. Both, along with 15 others, are part of the Victoria and Albert Museum of London's exhibition, Figures & Fictions: Contemporary South African Photography, opening April 12, 2011.
