Currently on display at Dittrich & Schlechtriem in Berlin (formerly Pool Gallery), is the Ute and Werner Mahler's Monalises of the Suburbs, a contemporary study of the most famous painting the world has ever seen. Traveling to the suburban outskirts, the not quite city, not quite country areas that surround Reykjavik, Liverpool, Florence, Minsk and Berlin, Ute and Werner took their studies of the Mona Lisa and created a real-world context of the painting.
