Ice Cream, Bubblegum, Tattooed Daydream

Illustration // Saturday, October 05, 2013
James Murphy likes art.  He also has a deep rooted appreciation for boobs, tattoos, and drippy, oozy candy coated cartoon-like daydreams, all bouncing, playing, barfing, skipping, smiling and holding hands in unison all the way to the other side of the strawberry scented rainbow.  The sun must be shining extra scratch and sniff on those nude, pistachio pin-ups over there in the UK these days.

Tattooing, a thriving industry that is not understood by much of society, is a part of a forever growing movement that has evolved from centuries of styles and progression. In modern times the conflict and discussion about the boundaries between art and tattooing has become smaller and smaller with many believing it should be classified as a true art form.

Paintings by Alessandro Botto

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, July 05, 2011
We were shown Alessandro Botto's works this weekend, and we thought for sure they must be digital compositions. It turns out, all the works are acrylic, which is quite impressive given the final product that the UK-based, Peru-born Botto creates.

Beat Down In London

Graffiti // Wednesday, June 08, 2011
I have been wearing Stussy since I was a kid and still do to this day.  The brand has survived for 30 years and remains strong in heavily diluted street wear world.  Stussy Uk Tribe got together, painted a giant wall and rocked the largest Stussy brand logo to date.

Bart Simpson Reeeeemixxx

What do you get when you cross a cyclops with an againg Bart Simpson, an episoode of South Park, a case of beer, some 2 Pac, a skateboard, pizza and weed!?! The genius creations of UK based illustrator Sam Taylor. Be still my heart...

HorrorSleazeTrash and Ben Newman

Erotica // Tuesday, May 03, 2011
Filthy femmes, perverse pics and the talent of UK based artist Ben Newman.  Slightly gothic, fully erotic with a subliminal fixation on fantasy and putting the female in compromising situations, Newman and his fictionally consensual works may be giving him heat in the workplace- but in his world the women are the ones doing the instigating.

You may remember that Phlegm just showed with ROA and ROBOTS>>>> in an abandoned warehouse in London. Watch the Phlegm piece after the jump . . .
