Waves For Water Benefit Auction is LIVE!

Juxtapoz Magazine, Encinitas, California-based shop UNIV and San Francisco-based Chandran Gallery have teamed for a special auction and exhibition benefit for Waves For Water, an organization on the ground in the Philippines, mobilizing an urgent clean water disaster relief initiative in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Haiyan. From March 18—31st, a special curated selection of hand-painted surfboards will be available at auction on Paddle8. Artists who participated include Geoff McFetridge, CR Stecyk III, Tim Biskup, Lucy McLauchlan, Andrew Schoultz and more.

Perhaps you followed our Instagram feed during the week of Art Basel 2013, but you may have saw our collaborative surfboard project with Encinitas, California-based shop UNIV and San Francisco-based Chandran Gallery. Two things to be excited about: one, Dinosaur Jr. is coming out with a new album, I Bet On Sky, this September 18, and our friend, Travis Millard, did the album cover artwork. When we saw the artwork last week, we said to ourselves, that looks familiar. After exhaustive research, our suspicions were confirmed.
