Neubacher Shor Contemporary Gallery is presenting a new show by Toronto-based artist Jen Mann. Entitled Strange Beauties and inspired by the circus, illusions, dreams and the innocence of childhood, the exhibit captures the world through 'rose-colored glasses.'

Converse x Juxtapoz: Wall To Wall Toronto featuring Troy Lovegates

Over the past year, Juxtapoz and Converse have teamed on a unique project, Wall to Wall, where we invite an artist in a city in North America to create a semi-permanent mural based around the artist's interpretation of the iconic Converse star. Today, we look back on the mural created in Toronto, Canada by artist Troy Lovegates. Lovegates, who you may know as OTHER, went with his signature multi-colored figurative style, adding a dreamlike, colorful addition to the Wall to Wall project.

We have been looking through a selection of paintings from Toronto's OCAD University student Ivan Alifan, and especially love his newest 2013 work (seen in the first two images here.) The Russian born artist is studying Drawing & Painting, and as we see here, he is getting better each and every year.

Sean Lewis is a Toronto, Canada based artist and illustrator, using a variety of mediums to create his richly fluid, intricate works. He completed a Bachelor of Design from OCADU and received the grad shows Gold Medal for his thesis work. He has continued to put out expressive commercial and personal work on a regular basis since then.

Toronto-based multi-disciplinary artist, Jesse Harris, who was recently included in a group show entitled “Permanent Demand” at Cooper Cole gallery, has completed a new mural in the West Queen Street Neighborhood of Toronto.  “You’ve Changed” is meant to comment on local gentrification of West Queen Street and to support a positive message to patients visiting the adjacent Centre from Addiction and Mental Health.

She works in acrylic gouache and ink to create surreal-like images with an urban twist. When I'm she's drawing, she stays busy creating zines, doodling comics or delving into the pits of web coding and video games.
