Tony Kelly is an Irish fashion photographer whose sexed-up, color-blasted photos are iconic in the visual landscape of American Apperal, Vanity Fair and Playboy France. Based in LA, Kelly's work has soaked up the sexy, perfectly-tanned influences of the California landscape, and he refuses to apologize for it. This series is a perfect example of his fleshy zeal--two jacked-up models in skimpy red shorts flex their way across a beach while asian tourists look on. Overtly sexual in nature, his photographs have been described as "irreverent, uncouth and provocative," and on the other hand "spontaneous, talkative and hyper-energetic." James Mullinger, photo editor of GQ Magazine, describes him as a "modern genius" who works "at an incredible pace."
