Hideaki Kawashima "come out" @ Tomio Koyama Gallery, Tokyo

We have long been fans of the works of Hideaki Kawashima, who studied under another great Japanese artist in Yoshitomo Nara and has shown at Richard Heller Gallery in Santa Monca in the past. Kawashima just opened a new body of work, "Come Out," at Tomio Koyama Gallery in Tokyo this past week, featuring work that "possess a sense of body: each is painted with distinct hair-styles and clothing. As if rendered in ideal model form, it is as if in each their full personality has been released."
