New paintings by Tomek - "Croisement" @ Galerie Celal, Paris

Graffiti // Tuesday, March 18, 2014
Last week, the group exhibition “Croisement” opened at Galeri Celal in Paris featuring new work from Tomek, Jeroen Erosie, and Graphic Surgery. While the exhibition focuses on thesimilarities and the differences between these artists who all are equally talented, Tomek’s abstract pieces stood out to us. These pieces appear more refined, painterly and cohesive.

Parisian graffiti writer, Tomek, was enlisted by the consulting company Robin Soulier to paint the interior of one of their halls. Tomek painted abstract shapes and tags on to small squares, that were then spread out in the space including the ceiling and floor. The consulting company has also in the past commissioned Sobekcis to paint one of their spaces as well.

Now that’s a rooftop spot! Roller fill with a very sketchy extinguisher outline. Extra large and offensive.

The Parisian graffiti crew, PAL, has done an excellent job at littering the streets of Paris with their often unconventional sprays and has monopolized on yet another truck.

Daytime Rolldown

Graffiti // Wednesday, May 22, 2013
Bombing rolldown gates in the daytime does not happen in America very often, unless you woke up that morning feeling touched and little more lucky than normal.
