Tim Biskup "Charge" @ Martha Otero Gallery, LA

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, September 18, 2013
Martha Otero Gallery is pleased to present Charge, an exhibition by Juxtapoz favorite, Tim Biskup, featuring a new body of work. The title, Charge, holds complex personal references for Biskup. In particle physics, the theory of 'color charge' refers to an abstract concept of positive and negative values.

The urge to loosen up came after a visit to MoMA NYC for the William de Kooning retrospective as well as in reaction to the rigid complexity of the work for his Former State exhibition at THIS Gallery in Los Angeles nearly a year ago.
