Culver City's Thinkspace Gallery is taking the short trip up to San Francisco to curate a group exhibition at Spoke Art, opening tomorrow, Thursday, May 3. The show will feature familiar faces of the Thinkspace roster, including Allison Sommers, Dabs Myla, Dan-ah Kim, Dave MacDowell, Kelly Vivanco, Liz Brizzi, Nathan DeYoung, Seth Armstrong, Stella Im Hultberg, Stephanie Buer, Yosuke Ueno and others. Fumi Nakamura was born in December 1984 in a small town called Shimizu outside of Shizuoka, Japan. Fumi grew up surrounded by beautiful mountains and the ocean and this environment has had a lasting effect on her work. She will open a new exhibition, Our Hands Will Eventually Destroy Everything Beautiful, at Thinkspace Gallery this Saturday, March 31st.

With this being Yosuke's third solo show with Thinkspace, the works finds the artist reflecting upon and strongly influenced by the changes in Japan since the Great Earthquake and Tsunami of March 11th, 2011.

The LA-based artist spent more time working on the architectural elements of her scenes as opposed to the more lifelike work she has created in the past.

Her work explores images of adolescence as metaphors for larger themes of ethos and wonder and has been featured in such publications as Rolling Stone, Spin, GQ and various others.
