Do you enjoy trains and graffiti or both of them together? If so, Baltimore-based artist, Tim Conlon will be exhibiting life-size aerosol paintings of aged freight cars and weathered model trains featuring scaled-to-size graffiti this Saturday at The Seventh Letter Flagship Store and Gallery. We’ve seen some of Conlon’s paintings in person and his renderings are of the highest quality.

A bus loaded with members from The Seventh Letter, Tats, Tuff City, and more, took a field trip last week to paint the yards of the infamous correctional facility, Rikers Island in New York. Certainly a rare painting opportunity and we are sure the inmates will enjoy the new yards graphics opposed to the previous mundane grey.

A series of artist-designed billboards organized by Art Share L.A. and The Seventh Letter are currently on display high above the streets in various cities of Los Angeles. Each of the massive canvases showcase artists with distinctly different styles and approach. Many of the participants are recognizable figures in their respective scenes and the list includes Patrick Martinez, Sage Vaughn, Kofie, Risk, Saber, Revok, Rime, Sever, Push, Willie T., Reyes, Shepard Fairey, Pose, Zes and others.

This past weekend we stopped by Known Gallery for “Hello Kitty, Hello Art” a one-day pop-up event. The gallery was filled with a new collection of Sanrio-inspired art featuring over 30 new paintings by graffiti artist POSE, custom chandeliers by Adam Wallacavage, a neon installation by RISK and new works by 64 Colors, AIKO, Caia Koopman, DABS MYLA, Kenton Parker, Niagara, Shepard Fairey and Simone Legno — all incorporating a rainbow of Sanrio characters.

In an effort to raise funds and help influential LA graffiti artist REVOK pay his legal fees after being sentenced to 180 days in an LA County jail for previous vandalism charges and "not paying sufficient restitution to his victims," SEVER has designed this t-shirt now being sold through The Seventh Letter.
