We are heading down to check out the new Silicon Valley Contemporary art fair this weekend in the South Bay Area, and one of the things we are excited to check out is The Hole NYC's curation of KATSU's drone graffiti paintings. As stated in the video, "Katsu's new tool for urban decoration is a drone with a spray can. He's debuting it—and testing it—at the 2014 Silicon Valley Contemporary." One of our favorites curators of the moment, Jesper Elg of V1 Gallery in Copenhagen, just opened a curated show at The Hole in NYC called Chicken or Beef?. The show itself is loaded with great talent from both America and Europe, curated as a "Transatlantic survey of figurative painting in Europe and America, named after the ubiquitous question posed on transatlantic flights."

Yes 1 2 is a new exhibition by New York street scrawler, Jim Joe, opening tonight June 1, 2012 at the Hole Gallery in NYC. Curated by the New York Art Department, the show will feature seventeen new works ranging from painting to drawing to sculpture. Show only runs for three days so get over there this weekend.

Tonight, Thursday, July 21, TAKI 183 will be the featured artist at The History of American Graffiti book signing at the post-Deitch Projects space, The Hole NYC. Today is the 40th anniversary of the infamous NY Times headline: TAKI183 Spawns Penpals, which ignited the graffiti movement in New York.
