Based on what it might be like to dig a hole to China, German design firm, Topteki, created an installation based on this idea titled The Big Dig.  Built for a show at the XI’AN garden show in China in 2011, the hole was accompanied with an audio soundtrack of sounds from Argentina, U.S., Sweden, and Germany that were projected out of the hole giving the feeling they were coming from the other end.
