The Camera Lucida is an optical device that was designed by Sir William Hyde Wollaston and used a prism to project an image onto paper for tracing. Some claim that many of the Old Masters used them but they now are only found in antique stores and on EBay. Come Pablo Garcia and Golan Levin who recently teamed up to design the NeoLucida with the belief that it will "profoundly change how people see, how they draw, and how they think about art."

Prosthesis designer Sophie de Oliveira Barata has launched The Alternative Limb Project, a studio that has begun creating unique, sometimes strange, but always eye-catching prosthetic limbs. Choosing from three options: realistic, surrealist, or unreal, the customer can merge real-life and imagination. They designed a Crystallized leg for Viktoria Modesta who played the Ice Queen at the London 2012 Paralympic Closing ceremony.

Using Animated Gifs that have remained online and unchanged since 1999, A Tribute to Heather is a collection of One Gif Compositions created from single gifs found on Heather's Animations by fromer Juxtapoz feature, Evan Roth.

Draw in mid-air with 3Doodler, a 3D printing pen. The project, started on Kickstarter, has surpassed it's $30,000 goal and received over 1 million. The 3D Doodles can be created as flat forms and peeled off a piece of paper, as freestyle 3D objects, or in separate parts, ready to be joined together.
