Raking Light Projects has announced an installation exhibition by internationally renowned tattoo artist, Jondix. Aeons-Tulpais the first exhibition produced by Raking Lights Projects and will take place at Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society, founded by American Buddhist teacher and author, Noah Levine.

Barcelona-based artist Ramon Maiden uses a ball-point pen to tatoo characters on vintage illustrations, postcards, and calendars. The detailed pieces feature Vargas pin-ups and religious prints of Saints fully tattooed by Maiden's pen.

Gorgeous tattooed Illustrations by Zhang Xiaobai, a talented illustrator based in Beijing, China. She graduated in Xubeihong Art College of People’s University and has since chosen to pursue her passion in the arts. Xiaobai creates tattooed illustrations inspired by classical Chinese women, and each illustration tells a beautiful, sometimes emotional story.

As a long time admirer or the darkly romantic, classic work of Chris Cleen, I had the pleasure of meeting, interviewing and getting work done by him on his most recent trip to San Francisco, for a guest spot at Idle Hand tattoo. As a New York based tattoo artist, Cleen spends his days at Saved tattoo in Brooklyn, and at his drawing table, creating his erotic themed Victorian imagery for enthusiasts of his craft, those looking to get tattooed and himself.

Despite dabbling in tattoo since his teenage years, tattooer Erik Jacobsen only picked up the trade professionally about five years ago. Since then, he has managed to create a stunning portfolio of modelled three-dimensional skulls, moths, and mammals and bold, graphic mandalas. We recently caught up with him for a chat about art vs. tattoo, his favorite types of images, and his first (regrettable?) ink - after the jump.
