Interesting political piece from Billy Morrow Jackson (1926-2006) of Uncle Sam tattooed with the faces of the "Birmingham Four." This piece, entitled The Tattooed Man, is part of a series of civil rights drawings that were created from 1962-1964, though it still has tremendous implications today (both for civil rights and tattoo).

Tattoos and Tentacles is a collaborative art project from photographer Julian Murray and graphic designer Lacey Haire. Aiming to combine stunning tattoos with a majestic sea creature, the pair creating striking and erotic (and NSFW) photographs of women in a variety of stylized settings.

Tomas Tomas is another artist from London's Into-You Tattoo. Using the human form as a canvas, he creates large geometric body suits and mandalas, using black ink and stippling to give the illusion of shading. (Also, we love how he edits his tattoo photos to be pattern on pattern.)

With an ability to adapt a variety of textures--like glass or jewels or sheer stockings--seamlessly into the traditional aesthetic, Pryor creates tattoos that are both astounding and innovative.
