Todd Janeczek aka Todd J.

Tattoo // Monday, November 26, 2012
Todd Janeczek aka Todd J., is the owner of Imperial Tattoo in Portland, Oregon. His pieces are classic, using vibrant colors, imagery and all the best things about traditional tattooing. There is no doubt that he takes his craft very seriously. Todd’s work has a classic Americana feel, and his dark sense of humor often shines through. Todd J.’s style represents a part of history and his extensive portfolio of work proves that.

Epic Ink From Tony Hundahl

Tattoo // Monday, November 26, 2012
There is nothing light and airy about the work of Tony Hundahl of Rock of Ages Tattoo. His traditionally based, bold and vibrant ink work bleeds with heavy handed strength and aggression. In these pieces in particular that we came across, there is no lack of blood, daggers, fangs and epic composition and imagery.

Flash Sheets from Joel Albertsson

Tattoo // Sunday, November 25, 2012
Suffice it to say, we've never seen flash like this. We love the way that Joel Albertsson of Göteborg Classic Tattooing switches up his palette and uses the visual vocabulary of traditional tattoo flash to depict very non-traditional imagery. From depictions of ritualistic and "primitive" objects to literally blue Blues musicians, Albertsson's distinctive sheets of flash are amazing works of art.

Thanksgiving Inspired Tattoo Flash

Tattoo // Thursday, November 22, 2012
Why bother with all that family, over-eating mumbo jumbo this holiday season when you can get drunk by yourself, drop by your local Chinese joint, then head on over to your buddy's house for some good old fashioned Turkey Leg tattooing?!  Then you can talk about it all year long until Thanksgiving falls upon us again... Sounds like my kind of party.

Behind the Scenes at Things and Ink

Tattoo // Wednesday, November 21, 2012
Th'Ink is an English blog project about tattoos, art, and culture founded by Alice Th'Ink. Now, Alice has just launched Th'Ink's first online magazine, Things and Ink, and here's the behind the scenes video from their first cover shoot. Enjoy!

Arm Piece from Dan Santoro

Tattoo // Wednesday, November 21, 2012
Amazing bold cobra and skull arm piece from the ever-talented Dan Santoro. His thick lines, reserved color choice, and signature strange proportions work so well with the composition, and you've gotta love the gold teeth on that skull!
