You guys remember this story right?? 'Eighteen-year old Kimberley Vlaeminck from Belgium, has pressed charges against a tattoo-artist claiming she asked for 3 stars but wound up with 56 stars on her face without her even noticing. The tattoo guy, Rouslain Toumaniantz said, "Getting your face tattooed is so painfull, sleeping is out of the question. The girl asked for those stars. She was very happy with the result but now she blames me because her father is angry..." Well here's an update, what are YOUR thoughts on the story?

Some incredible rendering of black and grey portriature from the guys over at Lowrider Tattoo in Santa Ana, CA. Chuey Quintanar and Jose Lopez have created these beautifully done custom tattoo's on some fortunate souls. The shop has won countless awards at tattoo conventions and now employs four other talented artists besides Jose.  A second location is to be opened soon in Riverside, California.

From the infamous amputee Heine Braeck from Sarpsborg, Norway, who lost his right arm in a freak accident and got a dolphin tattooed with the help of Bulgarian tattooist Valio Ska in its place, to the guy with the dolphin in a lazy chair smoking a bong, every dolphin tattoo has a story. The girls, undoubtedly, have a past, as do the guys who choose this magical marine mammal as their ink in the realms of forever- and I love it. Thanks guys, enjoy.

Tim Pausinger works at his shop Most Precious Ink in Coburg Germany with co-owner Michel Porsch and his apprentice Philipp Ohme. He was born in Landshut, a small town in Bavaria near Munich, he states, 'I was always interested in tattoos or getting tattoos and tattooed people, I don't did a traditional apprenticeship... I learned the most myself, but the basics I learned from Gerhard Time Travelling Tattoo in Landshut. He gave me the chance to hang out in his shop, made the appointments for him and so on....'

We're fans of this Art Nouveau inspired cat portrait by tattooist Jessica Brennan. Brennan graduated with a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design but didn’t actually get into tattooing until a few years after leaving school. Applying her painting and color technique to her tattoos, she loves realism and very colorful subject matter, such as flowers, pin-ups, and animals. Brennan works at PowerLine Tattoo in Cranston, Rhode Island.
