We recently stopped by LeBasse Projects for their newest exhibition, LA Mixtape. LA MiXTAPE documents the effect of music on the process of creation, asking each participating artist to create a piece titled after a song, artist, or band that has inspired or influenced his/her creative process.

This past weekend we stopped by the 6th annual Sea No Evil benefit art exhibition. The Sea No Evil art benefit show at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium featuring artwork donated by over 100 artists from around the world including Gary Baseman, Tara McPherson, Tim Biskup, Shepard Fairey, Lola, Travis Louie, Hydro74, Amy Sol and many, many more. Tara McPherson is an artist based out of New York City. Creating art about people and their odd ways, her characters seem to exude an idealized innocence with a glimpse of hard earned wisdom in their eyes. Recalling myths and legends, issues from childhood and good old life experience, she creates images that are thought provoking and seductive. People and their relationships are a central theme throughout her work.

This Saturday, March 24. Copro Gallery in Santa Monica will be opening our 18th Birthday exhibition, Juxtapoz Turns 18. This week, we will be doing teasing previews of the entire exhibition, and today we have works from Robert Williams, Marion Peck, Todd Schorr, Dave Cooper, Andrew Schoultz, Souther Salazar, Candice Tripp, Tara McPherson, and Don Pendleton.

NYC-based fine artist Tara McPherson is set to release a brand new print, Safety of Water, on Tuesday, March 13 at 3PM EST. Taken from Tara's largest painting to date, McPherson is publishing her largest print to date with this oversize giclee, signed and numbered, in an edition of 100.

Tomorrow, Thursday January 12, Brooklyn-based Tara McPherson will release the full Somewhere Under The Rainbow print set. The paintings come from McPherson's 2008 Lost Constellations solo show at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery. The prints will be released Thursday, January 12th 2012 at 3pm EST.

Tara McPherson and her Cotton Candy Machine space in Brooklyn will be opening a Holiday Giclee Show tonight, December 2nd, celebrating CCM's new venture into giclee printing. Paul Pope, Tara, Travis Louie, Jeremy Hush, and Esao Andrews will all have giclees on exhibit and available to purchase.
