Kuhl and Leyton's Tape Paintings of "Elite Deviance"

Using colored tape as their medium, for their latest project Elite Deviance Brad Kuhl and Monique Leyton explored disgraced millionaires and the super-rich of the United States. Depictions of Martha Stewart and Bernie Madoff act as social commentaries and critiques of capitalism in a colorful array of acrylic and bookbinding tape.

Friend of the magazine Aakash Nihalani has a few new installations in New York that just opened featuring his signature works and transformations with tape. At the Parrish Art Museum, he created tape installations on the exterior of the museum, while he went on inside to Tripoli Gallery and opened a solo show, Aaranged, featuring triangular and geometric tape pieces. Tape Projection by Doyle Partners

Recently, Doyle Partners created this incredible tape projection at a gym in Manhattan for the NY Times Magazine. The Times notes, "artist Stephen Doyle taped, across multiple surfaces, the words for the traits being taught at KIPP Infinity middle school in Manhattan. Watch the word 'grit' being made."
