This isn't the first time we've posted the sketchbook illustrations of Mattias Adolfsson, it isn't even the first time this year. The swedish artist is constantly updating his website with illustrations and moleskine sketchbooks full of wonderful drawings. Enjoy!

Swedish music video director Jonas Odell is behind the snappy, graphic design heavy video for the new Franz Ferdinand track, "Right Action," but has also been at the helm of some other great videos in recent years. Not only did he do the video for the Franz Ferdinand accidental mega hit "Take Me Out," he has done work for U2, The Hours, Goldfrapp, and The Rolling Stones. Enjoy a music break...

This morning we are enjoying the wonderful sketcbhook drawings of Swedish artist Mattias Adolfsson. This past winter, Michael Johansson, famous for his "real-life Tetris" public and museum installations, opened "Familar Abstractions" at Vigeland Museet in Olso, Norway. During the preparation for that show, our friend and contributor Henrik Haven caught up with Johansson at his studio in Malmø, Sweden. Even in his space, everything has a place, in its right place.

Sweden-based artist Denimu (aka Ian Berry), known for his work constructing incredible scenes purely out of used denim and jeans, has installed a life sized New York newsstand at the Shooting Gallery in San Francisco. Berry began experimenting with textiles, manipulating color and form with bleach, stencils and glue. His work is painstakingly cut, stitched, and pasted together.

We kick of 2013 with one of our favorite artists of the moment, Swedish illustrator Kilian Eng. Featured in our magazine in the past, and on our site a bunch, we love his new series of black and white, science-fiction inspired works. Seems like Eng took some effective Moebius pills, and there is nothing wrong with that.
