Serena Mitnik-Miller has a new body of work up at Park Life Gallery in SF's Mission District. The work, entitled SWIRL, features a series of watercolor on paper with abstract, free-flowing patterns and fluid shapes. After seeing her work at Mollusk and Joshua Liner in recent years, this is another great body of work that you should check.

Mollusk Surf Shop is proud to present a solo exhibition by California-based photographer, Jeff Divine.The exhibit will showcase a series of rarely seen images, selected from a vast archive spanning 45 years of surfing history and is co-curated by the artists, longtime designer/maker partner, Tom Adler. Alongside the photographic works, Divine will present a slideshow-style talk offering detailed insight into some of his most iconic images documenting the rise of professional surfing in the late 1970s to early 80s.

We don't know where you live, but here in the Northern portions of California, it feels a lot like summer at the moment. That has put us in a certain mood where watching the Mollusk Surf Shop produced short film, "Knost Split" by Jack Coleman just seems like a good way to relax and feel the lazy summer days ahead.

Nepenthes in NYC, home to the fantastic clothing line Engineered Garments among other EG satellite brands, also curates a nice series of pop-up shops and art shows in their Hell's Kitchen flagship. This Thursday, May 29, the Nepenthes shop will be hosting a surf photo show by Masahiro Noguchi coinciding with a pop-up shop of Mar Vista's Yellow Rat.

As we have mentioned over the past few weeks, RETNA has contributed a surfboard to the Chandran Gallery x Juxtapoz x Univ benefit auction for Waves for Water, an organization on the ground in the Philippines, mobilizing an urgent clean water disaster relief initiative in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Haiyan. Through March 31st, a special curated selection of hand-painted surfboards will be available at auction on Paddle8.

A message from past cover artist and Juxtapoz friend, Thomas Campbell: "This coming week. November 29, I am opening an exhibition in Tokyo at the Common Gallery.
