In Street Art: Very Hungry God

Back in 2006, New Dehli-based artist, Subodh Gupta created the following piece titled “Very Hungry God.” Constructed of Stainless steel kitchen utensils in reaction to reports that French soup-kitchens were using pork as an ingredient to deter Muslims from partaking in the meals.

Back in 2006, New Dehli-based artist, Subodh Gupta created the following piece titled “Very Hungry God.”   Constructed of Stainless steel kitchen utensils in reaction to reports that French soup-kitchens were using pork as an ingredient to deter Muslims from partaking in the meals.  The sculpture was exhibited internationally and eventually found a home in François Pinault's extensive collection.
