"You've Changed" Mural by Jesse Harris

Toronto-based multi-disciplinary artist, Jesse Harris, who was recently included in a group show entitled “Permanent Demand” at Cooper Cole gallery, has completed a new mural in the West Queen Street Neighborhood of Toronto.  “You’ve Changed” is meant to comment on local gentrification of West Queen Street and to support a positive message to patients visiting the adjacent Centre from Addiction and Mental Health.

Atlanta-based graffiti writer, Hense, whose more recent artistic endeavors bear little resemblance to what he has been known for in the past, has completed a mural covering the entire facade of a historic church in Washington, D.C. The artist’s brightly colored abstractions and compositions bring new life to the buildings architecture and surrounding neighborhood.

Over the years, Clarion Alley in San Francisco has gone from a destination point in showcasing some of the most talented muralists work in the Bay Area, to a graffiti-scribbling playground. The organization and management of the walls in the alley deteriorated and the graffiti writers decided that no murals were sacred; including a rare Chris Johanson that was tagged repeatedly than eventually buffed.

Our Halloween printed issue of Juxtapoz curated by Alex Pardee features the Vienna-based illustrator and muralist, Nychos. Over the last few years Nychos has created a unique esthetic unlike most of the work created by a spray can.  Severed and separated anatomical figures are his niche. Watch this new video as the artist paints a sectioned head on the side of a freeway pillar.
