Tomorrow, Juxtapoz will be heading over to Rochester, New York to bring you exclusive coverage of what’s happening at the week long mural and arts festival known as Wall Therapy. Now in its third year, the South Wedge neighborhood is the primary focus for local and international artists to provide inspiration in the form of murals. With over 30 artists participating, we expect to see a diverse amount of work from artists such as Connor Harrington (Juxtapoz December 2012 cover artist), Lady Pink, Faith47, Daleast, Labrona, Freddy Sam, and many more. Vilks paints some new things...

We don’t know much about the Parisian artist who goes by the name Vilks, other than they have a wild imagination when it comes to painting. The mysterious artist recently painted two trains and a wall in their comic book, things-are melting-and-distorting kind of way.

Fintan Magee x Knarf in Vienna, Austria

Three of Fintan Magee’s characters help rebuild and shape an abstract Vienna as depicted by his collaborator Knarf. The two created this mural in the Donaukanal area, which essentially is the main water channel that runs through the city of Vienna.

Ericailcane x Bastardilla in Italy Part 2

Last week, Ericailcane and Bastardilla combined efforts painting a large wall for the Icone5.9 Festival in Modeni, Italy. The two varying styles of each of these artists complement and blend well with each other, creating a very natural-looking collaboration. Their new mural shows Ericailcane’s menacing bunnies burning a car with the help of a matchbox held by Bastardilla’s bright orange-red character.

Broken Fingaz Crew, one of Isreal’s most talented muralists, have just spent 3 weeks in Russia and painted this stunning portrait of a man holding a two-headed chicken. Great choice of color use on this one.

Alexis Diaz paints a hybrid animal in London

It’s difficult to fully appreciate the fine detail in the work of Alexis Diaz (La Pandilla) without viewing it in person. Thousands of brush strokes are made to create his animal-based imagery. His newest wall in London is a hybrid of an elephant, with lengthy octopus arms for tusks painted in his signature monochromatic style.

We are currently accepting applications for an Editorial Intern to contribute to our “Street Art” section and other possible opportunities. The ideal candidate is well-organized, proficient with blogging platforms and Photoshop, has excellent writing, grammar and punctuation skills, and lives in the surrounding New York area. Severed hand by Nunca

A few weeks ago, the rolldown of the 33Third graffiti supply shop on Melrose in Los Angeles got a new paint job from Nunca.  In his signature style, the San Paulo-based artist painted a severed hand with a cut off finger lying in a pool of blood.
