The Sheffield-based artist spent the entire previous month working on the highly detailed installations. Nelson Mandela memorial by Gaia in Baltimore

Painted in the Sowebo neighborhood of Baltimore, Gaia paid tribute to the late South African humanitarian and politician, Nelson Mandela. Entitled "Kurema, Kureba, Kwiga", the mural was painted for the Colour Ikamva project in Rwanda, along with Martha Cooper’s Sowebo/Soweto photography project.

Last week, the inaugural special performance and unveiling of photographer JR’s newest collaboration with the Lincoln Center for the New York City Ballet Art Series occurred and we’ve heard nothing but good things. Viewers saw several very different installations; most notable being the massive photograph of 80 ballet dancers on vinyl spread across the entire floor of the theater's lobby.
