HOTTEA Transforms Williamsburg bridge walkway into Rainbow tunnel

Street Art // Friday, September 06, 2013
The pedestrian walkway along the Williamsburg Bridge in New York was transformed into a tunnel-like rainbow experience courtesy of Minneapolis artist, HOTTEA. The installation which covers a large portion of the beginning of the Brooklyn side, consists of over 2000 strands of yarn and took over 11 hours to install with the help of assistants. Our predictions are that “Rituals” will likely remain until the city takes it upon themselves to remove it or some drunk thinks it’s amusing to mess it up, both plausible outcomes relevent to that location.
