For $1000 a night, you can stay in a dangling, 100-foot-long Balancing Barn off the Suffolk Coast in England. Designed by the Dutch firm MVRDV, the barn’s highlight is the single rope swing hanging from the edge of the structure for children or adult recreation.

Located in Beijing, China, the CCTV Headquarters is a remarkable project designed by architect Rem Koolhaas.  With a fire nearly burning down a neighboring building and a Chinese critic publishing an article stating the building was modeled after a pornographic image of a naked women on her hands and knees, it’s surprising the building reached completion.

  Oakland-based muralist, Doodles accompanied by two collaborators is looking for your help to fund a traveling art project.  As the artists state, “Crystal-Eyes is a project that combines ancient wisdom with travel, healing, painting, cinematography, and music. Nick, Alex, and Lawrence will set out on a journey, collecting crystals along the gem trails of these beautiful United States”.  The group has started a Kickstarter page where you can find more information about the project.
