Juxtapoz // Monday, August 08, 2011

Juxtapoz // Monday, August 08, 2011
Radical! takes his work seriously, and he has been seriously getting up in New York with his comically anthropomorphic characters and their extended appendages. Located in London, King’s Cross Station is an incredible project scheduled to open in only seven months.  As World Architecture News states, “Designed by experienced architects John McAslan + Partners, the multi-phase scheme takes a three-pronged approach: re-use, restore, and new build. The various train sheds and buildings across the Western Range are being re-used, the Station’s original Grade I listed facade from 1852 is being uncovered and restored to its former splendour, and an extensive new Western Concourse will be inserted above the London Underground Ticketing Hall.”

Juxtapoz // Saturday, August 06, 2011
The very varied Hellbent history hits all the touchstones of street art in the last decade; spray paint, stencils, wheat paste, stickers, and rollers. But it's his hand carved plaques of animal and floral motifs, screwed to wooden surfaces around town, that most poignantly display his smiling distress signal.
