Sand Sculptures Exhibition at Tottori Dune

Focusing on the theme of “Great Britain” in preparations for the London Olympic Games, a team of talented artists created a massive sand sculpture exhibition at the Sand Museum located in the Tottori Dunes of Japan.  Many of the sculptures represent themes such as Shakespeare and Sir Isaac Newton, English pubs, London taxis, and Big Ben and Westminster.

MOMO & Piet Dieleman Video

Multi disciplinary artists, Momo and Piet Dieleman, collaborated in painting a public mural where the two would go over each other’s work for a week.  The project took place at the independent culture festival “Incubate” in Holland and you can see part of the process in the following video.

Cat Drawn in Chalk

It’s obvious we love all things cats.  We don’t discriminate against dogs, however the feline image is more appealing to us.   This image of a cat was created by a 20-year old artist from Russia named Rustam Vallev.   Valley creates a variety of photo-realistic chalk renderings, however this is the one that caught our eye.

While roaming around a 32 mile long island in the Irish sea, U.K.-based street artist, Phlegm, located an abandoned pool and painted a giant split tongued serpent wrapping around the deep end.  The artist is continually making great use of abnormal spaces for his outdoor work.

C215 sent over a new video that documents his relationship with his daughter and their artistic communication.  The artist explains how his daughter became his main inspiration and how he would stencil his daughter’s path to school to remind her that he was thinking about her.
