Magnum Revolver BBQ Grill

Only in America would a 15-foot bbq grill in the shape of a giant magnum revolver with car wheels on it actually exist.  Amateur high school welding students Stefan Harlicker, Mark Ramsay, Garret Belgarde, Dylan Decrow and Kanyen Bauer of Idaho’s Sandpoint High School created this NRA friendly piece in a school years time.

Liqen in Okinawa, Japan

Spanish muralist, Liqen, who was featured in our printed April 2012 issue, traveled to Okinawa, Japan last month leaving traces of his handy work around the island.  One mural done with a roller depicts a tiny atomic cloud in the palm of a hand and in another part of Okinawa faces were painted on a collection of cinder blocks.

Do Ho Suh’s "Fallen Star"

“Falling Star” is an Installation by South Korean artist, Do Ho Suh, which leaves a house balancing on the roof of a seven story building on the UC San Diego Campus.  Looking as if the house dropped from the sky, visitors can view the piece on the roof, enjoy a beautiful well-manicured garden, and catch a descent view of the surrounding San Diego landscape.  The work reflects the artists on-going exploration of themes around the idea of home, cultural displacement, the perception of our surroundings, and how one constructs a memory of a space

Nychos in Brooklyn

Is that an Iron Maiden shirt Nychos is wearing there?  We can see how his work is influenced by Derek Riggs who created all the epic covers for the English heavy metal band.  This new skull-splitting piece is on a roof in Brooklyn and will surely take someone off guard, if not give them nightmares.

M-City Paints Józef Mehoffer’s House

M-City was recently in Krakow, Poland for the ArtBooom Festival where he painted a mural on the side of famed Polish artist, Józef Mehoffer’s house, which now serves as a museum. The interior of the building houses antique furniture, chandeliers, wall hangings, clocks, books, and other works of art, including numerous works by the artist including stained-glass items, oils, decorative portraits, drawings, and many other items.

New Murals from AEC of Interesni Kazki in Cholula, Mexico

AEC who makes up half of the Ukrainian mural duo, Interesni Kazki, painted multiple murals while visiting Cholula, Mexico. The artist also teamed up with Mexico City-based muralist, Saner, for a joint collaboration.  These particular pieces look that much better and add a lot of life to the old dilapidated walls.

Doodles Moniker

One of Doodles ornate monikers was spotted on the side of a oil tanker in the train yard.  This one has a wonderful abstract environment inside the figures body.
