Ciredz’s most recent mural endeavors both resemble 3D topographic charts in monochrome, with gradients from black to white. The larger piece was painted for the Katowice Street Art Festival in Poland and the other in an unknown location.

This week Jaz opened his show “Cult of Character” at Inoperable Gallery in Vienna and while in town painted a mural, which is the focus of this new time-lapse video.  We are expecting some more walls by the artist to pop up in the upcoming days and we will keep you up to date when we here more.

We are enjoying the fun, imaginative wheatpastes of French artist Lavalet. Lavalet began making the site-specific pieces around France last year, coming up with creative and entertaining ways for his characters to interact with their surroundings. He also just opened an exhibition at NUNC ! Grenoble if you are in France.

Joe Strummer Memorial Mural

It’s a slow day on the streets today, so we are going to bring it back to this Joe Stummer memorial mural painted in 2003 by legendary graffiti writers, Dr. Revolt and Zephyr, in New York. “The Future is Unwritten” / “Know Your Right!” The mural has been repainted a number of times due to deterioration and defacement, but it looks better than ever here.

Assembled by hand and light enough to be transportable in a container, this micro house designed by Studio Liu Lubin is an alternative to ensure private housing under current Chinese lands policies The house is fixed with a resting, working, sleeping and kitchen area. Not sure if you can stand up in it but the design is sleek. 

SILENCING CHATTY BIRDS WITH Vilks

A couple of big footed, clothed, human bodied bird hybrids lie on a set of train tracks awaiting their fate. This painting by Vilks is something you don’t see to often on a boxcar.
