Watch artist Steven Harrington put together his recent solo show, "Wavy Days," at Colette, Paris in this video by Jason Miller. The title, "Wavy Days," reflects Harrington's ongoing relationship with anxiety. "It seems that all my life I’ve dealt with anxiety. Like many folks nowadays, I’m no stranger to feelings of worry, stress, apprehension, and even fear...

We are trying to rush through Thomas Pynchon's "Inherent Vice" book right now so we can go check out director Paul Thomas Anderson's take on the film that releases nationwide January 9, 2015. We were lucky enough, along with Slow Culture and the Ace Hotel, to be part of a special art show, "Contemporary Psychedelic," that featured art inspired by the film that opened at the Downtown LA Ace Hotel this week. Here are some photos from the opening!

Steven Harrington and our friends at the Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles are kicking off a special monthly collaboration this summer, starting on May 16th. Here is what Steven told us: "I'm starting my DJ residency once a month for the entire season of summer at their rooftop bar. To commemorate the collaboration we're releasing a very special 'metallic gold' screenprint created in edition of 100. Signed and numbered, the prints will be available exclusively on the rooftop of the ACE on my first DJ night- May 16th 9PM." We might do that.

Keeping with some last minute, "I'm in Paris," looking for holiday ideas, Steven Harrington has created a capsule collection with colette that features some clever postcard designs, a candle, and a few lighters. We need a few lighters actually... how else do you light your scented candles to get in the holiday mood?

Working with wood for the first time ever, former Juxtapoz featured artist Steven Harrington has turned the totem-like structures of his Remain in Balance series into three whimsical, anthropomorphic lamps. Each one represents the harmony we seek in our daily lives, an inspired and inspiring reminder of the importance of equanimity.

There is no secret that we love the work of Southern California's Steven Harrington. We had a fantastic feature of his work in the magazine in October 2011, and now as he gets prepared to open his InsideOut exhibition at Known Gallery tonight, August 18, we take a look at the catalog for the show published by Nieves.
