We are a few days away from HoodieBuddie's In Your Hood: HoodieCollab kick-off party in Venice Beach on November 4, and today we look at the another collaborative artist in the series, Sterling Bartlett. Bartlett is known for satirical illustrations, often featuring celebrities and pop-culture subjects.
We just sat down with the HoodieBuddie team as they are set to kick off there new popup shop in Los Angeles and their In Your Hood: HoodieCollab collection. They teamed up with our Illustration and Erotica editor Hannah Stouffer, as well as Skinner, Cat Cult, Sterling Bartlett, and SPRFKR to design special hoodies.
'The Order of the Triad' opens this Friday, October 21st at R&R Gallery in Los Angeles with clandestine activities, erotic magic, and the exploration of the occult figure through the new works of Hannah Stouffer, Sterling Bartlett, and Nil Ultra.
Progress is the substitute for faith when culture is all we have; and before realizing it we become unaware martyrs of this comfortable religion. Heavy metal is the law and will never die, Los Angeles based illustrator Sterling Bartlett gives me faith. His satirical, macabre works hint at cultural absurdities and its no wonder his insanely rendered graphite illustrations all over the apparel, skate and record industries while he consistently keeps his gallery hand strong. Blood High Five Sterls. Blood High Five.
