Cut it Out! is an international group show dedicated to the art of the stencil. Curated by Olly Walker and Henrik Haven, the exhibition showcases the work of some of the best artists and exciting new emerging artists that choose to work with the technique, but also the tools of the trade, a bit of history, live action on walls, streets and cars to offer a glimpse insight the world of stencil art.

A couple of friends of Juxtapoz collaborating on this show. Henrik Haven, who is based in Copenhagen and has contributed to both the print and web editions of Juxtapoz, has co-curated with Olly Walker on a special show at Urban Nation in Berlin called "Cut It Out," a look into the "art of the stencil and features brand new works, equipment, tools and stencils by each artist." The show opens on January 31, 2015!

Each year when we head to Nuart in Stavanger, Norway, we always like meeting and learning about new waves of European street artists. One artist who has been at Nuart in the past is Anders "STRØK" Gjennestad, who now has an exhibition of stencil works at Stavanger's Reed Projects.

Jonathan LeVine Gallery is pleased to present Ignorance is Bliss, a solo exhibition of new works by celebrated French stencil pioneer Blek le Rat in what will be his second solo exhibition at the gallery and his largest body of work, to date. In conjunction with the exhibition, the gallery will be releasing a new print edition and the artist will be creating a public mural in New York City.

Last year, we showed you a Banksy mural from the time around teh Queen's Jubilee, ridiculing child labor under the her reign. Well, the piece has been chiseled from its original location in London and is now up for Auction in Miami. Valued between $500,000 and $700,000, the extraction of the piece has angered the local community who were proud to have it on their streets.
