Stanley Donwood, who has ceated the visual identity for superband Radiohead for nearly 20 years, will be opening a new series of works at Subliminal Projects on April 28, 2012, with the exhibition Lost Angeles. Continuing on Donwood's theme set with his London Views series, Lost Angeles will be highlighted by a 18-foot apocalyptic panorama of the City of Angels being destroyed by fire, flood and meteor storm.

Stanley Donwood, famous for both his fine artwork, posters for the Glastonbury Festival, and album art for Radiohead, has created a poster/flyer for the Occupy Movement, for which you can "blow up, paste, copy, pass on, and do whatever with." Makes it easier for those of us with limited poster-making skills.

Nothing says comedy, economic uncertainty, and the Euro/American relationship more than a portrait of the Terminator made out of porn. How perfect is that? Tomorrow night (Thursday July 28), at the new Post No Bills space in Venice Beach, will be the opening of the European Bailout Show.

Stanley Donwood, the man behind most of Radiohead's imagery, has finished his annual Glastonbury Festival print and its available on his website as we speak. You may or may not know, Glastonbury in England is the biggest (just in name value) and probably best music festival in the world each year.

There was a big buzz a few months back when Oxford, England supergroup Radiohead announced their 8th LP, The King of Limbs. The music portion was exciting, but for we art and design nerds, it was the Stanley Donwood and Radiohead special "Newspaper Album" packaging that was slated for release June 1, 2011.

London-based Jux-contributor Butterfly was at the opening of Works On Paper, Stanley Donwood's new show at Lazarides' The Outsiders space. Must be a busy time for Mr. Donwood, as he is the artist behind the first ever "newspaper" album, as he does all the artwork for Radiohead. They are set to release said newspaper album version of The King of Limbs in May. Opening photos after the jump . . .

We have received over 10 emails this morning asking 1) have we watched the new Radiohead video for "Lotus Flower," and 2) have we listened to the early release of The King of Limbs? Yes and yes. And because it is Friday, take a break, watch the new video, and think of Stanley Donwood's Works On Paper show opening at Lazarides' The Outsiders last night in London. Video after the jump . . .

A lot of people are looking forward to the motion picture adapation of Japanese author Haruki Murakami's classic novel Norwegian Wood, being released this March, 2011. We are excited for the original score by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood, some others are excited because this is like the Japanese Catcher in the Rye turned visual, and budding designers are excited because Don't Panic has created the Norwegian Wood Poster Competition. More after the jump . . .
