Shalom Harlow portrays Snow White in a decidely more adult take on the famous fairytale. Harlow was photographed in this vintage shot by makeup artist turned photographer François Nars for his book X-Ray.

Universal Pictures, the studio behind the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman, announced a call for artists to submit work inspired by the film. The artwork submitted for the exhibition can be in any medium, and the winner will have his or her piece displayed in a pop-up gallery alongside the work of a prominent LA artist, as well as pieces by three-time Oscar-winner Colleen Atwood (costume designer on the film). Entrants must be 18 years of age, and the work submitted must not include any recognizable likenesses of the film’s stars.
