American fashion designer Marc Jacobs is taking his world-famous brand into the skate world with the debut of this limited edition deck. The deck features a seven-ply Canadian maple construction and retails at $69. Watch the introductory video below featuring 15-year-old skater Tristen Maldonado.

Ed Templeton, the photographer, fine artist, and former professional skater who we have had in the magazine over the years (most recently, the February 2012 issue) was recently the subject of a Leica produced interview and video spotlight. And, because we are dealing with a Leica, its a bit on the classy side.

Powell-Peralta has dropped Jordan Hoffart’s pro model, The Hoffart Pegasus, which features one-of-a-kind graphics by Vernon Courtlandt Johnson. This marks VCJ’s first commercial offering since his anticipated return to Powell-Peralta.

We were just wandering through the archives of LIFE Magazine, and saw these classic skateboard photos from both NYC and the West Coast. Of course there was the classic LIFE cover from 1965 featuring girl's skate champion, Pat McGee, so LIFE has a legacy in the 1960s of covering skateboard culture.

Michael Leon, who we featured in a great interview in our February 2011 issue, has his Stacks team out in the world, doing one-day stops for  "The Cult of Stacks" tour.  The 11-Years of Stacks event features skate photography from Eric Elms, Kevin Lyons, Geoff McFetridge, Michael Leon, Evan Hecox, as well as skating from Reese Forbes, Dani Lebron, Sebo Walker and Cameo Wilson.
